We know, this website includes a confusing mix of PhD, MPhil, MA, MFA, and even non-degree programs. It was confusing for us, too! However, we decided that it was still useful, to have a clear collection of the variety of different approaches offered in fashion-related programs across the world (or at least American and Western Europe). We decided that what was the most important thing was to come up with the categories in the first place, to map, if it were, the scope of the field. And then we decided to list what you could consider the most terminal degree offered within that category. We also might include unique or well-known programs. We’re not really sure yet.
Thus, there are not many bachelor-level programs mentioned on this site. If you’re interested in that level, there are some other guides that may help you. Check the LINKS page up at the top for more resources.
